When tomorrow comes this day will be gone forever, but I shall hold something which I have traded for it.
It may be no more than a memory, but if it is a worthy one I shall not regret the price.
Throughout the 121-year history of the Southern Nursery Association, there were many men and women involved in making the association successful. Many of those names are listed among the SNA Past Presidents and SNA Award recipients. However, there were still many instrumental people who served in one way or another – on education committees, trade show committees, researchers, or volunteers who gave their time, energy, and their talents. It is difficult to estimate the size and scope of the SNA community over the decades. But to all those who have been a part of the SNA effort, we salute you and thank you for your service. We hope the SNA legacy can somehow live on through this memorial website.
The SNA has a rich history spanning over 121 years (1899 -2021) . These pages capture and preserve the facts, the moments, and the people for future generations in an effort to honor and protect the legacy for years to come.
The SNA Legacy Fund was created in an effort to preserve the 121-year legacy of the SNA. Industry members are encouraged to donate to this fund, managed by HRI, which awards funding for horticultural research.

This site has been created and is maintained by Danny and Karen Summers of Summers & Associates LLC as a gift of appreciation for the contributions the SNA has made to the horticulture industry through its 121-year history. We would like to express our gratitude to the many industry members who touched our lives in so many positive ways. Serving the SNA for nearly 30 years was truly a blessing and a rewarding experience that will long be remembered. We hope that in preserving the legacy of the SNA, the contributions of the association and the many people who gave their time, energy and talents are honored and protected.
